THE POWER OF CREATIVITY
Going through the rigors and tasks of life, we find out that there is an uncontrollable urge that drives us to do things. Things that we do in this world are characterized by what we have learnt from either people or nature. When we are prejudiced by the actions of others around us, it echoes on the manner we reflect and carry out specific actions. When nature activates our actions, it means that we could make independent reflections in life to bring about new ideas and works.
When we consider very well the implications of being driven by a certain force in nature, we appreciate the fact that it does not require our personal determination to act. Put differently, we can only act if we are driven by a force. This comes about by a certain human desire which is in the form of reaction to what inspires us. The force in question is a conceptual one. It makes no room for a physical and spiritual dynamism.
Implied in the above assertion is the power of invention. Before now, it has been the thinking that nothing is new on the face of the earth; yet there is need to invent new skills of tackling either old problems or creating new solutions to new problems. In this case, creativity is the catchphrase.
Thinking is very natural to the human person. The effects of our reflective activities are what we perceive today as our works in life. Hence, we can say that we cannot carry out works without reflection or thinking. Thinking can be double sided; we cannot think positively and have negative results. It means then that the ills we see in the world are based on the negative thoughts of the perpetuators. Thinking positively then would amount to having a better world.
The strength that is found in creativity is much greater than what we find in imitation. The power of creativity is seen as an independent skill. Independency brings about originality in life. An independent thinker stands outstanding among other thinkers. The ideas gotten from an independent thinker is a reflection of creative and inventive skills.
The task of creating is such a rigorous one. It has to do with constancy and perfection. Determination in one’s duty can yield extra-ordinary result. Nothing good comes easily and the road to success is very demanding.
